Terms of Service
Last updated: July 28, 2026
These Terms govern your access to and use of Pureframe AI. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Using Pureframe AI
Pureframe AI provides API and SaaS tools for multimodal video search, indexing, retrieval, and related visual intelligence workflows. You may use the service only in accordance with these Terms and applicable laws.
You are responsible for your account, your users, your API credentials, and all activity that occurs through your account.
2. Accounts and eligibility
Individuals and organizations may create accounts. If you use Pureframe AI on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials and API keys secure.
3. Customer content
You retain ownership of videos, images, transcripts, prompts, queries, metadata, and other content you upload or submit to Pureframe AI.
You grant Pureframe AI permission to host, store, process, analyze, index, transform, transmit, and display your content only as needed to provide, secure, support, maintain, and improve the service, including generating derived data such as frames, transcripts, embeddings, labels, and search metadata.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and process your content through Pureframe AI.
You represent that your content and your use of Pureframe AI will not violate laws, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, breach confidentiality obligations, or violate agreements with third parties.
If your content includes people, voices, biometric identifiers, private locations, confidential information, minors, employees, customers, or other sensitive material, you are responsible for providing legally required notices and obtaining legally required consents before uploading or processing that content.
Unless we've agreed to it in writing (for example, through a signed Business Associate Agreement, Data Processing Agreement, or similar arrangement), you may not upload or process through Pureframe AI: protected health information subject to HIPAA, payment card data subject to PCI-DSS, government-classified or export-controlled information, or special-category personal data (such as data revealing racial or ethnic origin, health conditions, sexual orientation, religious belief, or biometric identifiers used to uniquely identify a person) at a scale or in a manner that requires safeguards we haven't implemented. If you're unsure whether your content falls into one of these categories, contact us at support@pureframe.ai before uploading it.
Pureframe AI does not use customer-uploaded videos, images, transcripts, embeddings, search indexes, or other customer content to build advertising audiences, run retargeting campaigns, or train third-party advertising systems.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Pureframe AI to violate laws, infringe intellectual property rights, compromise security, reverse engineer the service, overload infrastructure, or process content that you do not have permission to use.
You may not use the service to build or support harmful, deceptive, unlawful, or abusive systems.
You may not upload or process content that is illegal, exploitative, non-consensual, defamatory, invasive of privacy, designed to facilitate violence or abuse, or otherwise creates legal, safety, security, or operational risk for Pureframe AI or others.
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is absolutely prohibited. We scan processed content against industry hash databases where available, preserve evidence, report identified material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or other appropriate authorities, and terminate associated accounts.
Sexually explicit content is prohibited. If our systems flag content as potentially explicit, it is reviewed by a person before any enforcement action is taken. If content is removed, the account owner is notified with the reason and may appeal by contacting support@pureframe.ai. Non-explicit suggestive content (for example, swimwear, fashion, or medical footage) is not a violation.
You may not use Pureframe AI to identify, track, profile, or make consequential decisions about people in ways that violate applicable law or required consent.
We may remove content, restrict processing, suspend accounts, or report activity to appropriate authorities if we believe content or use of the service violates these Terms, applicable law, or creates risk for Pureframe AI, users, or third parties.
For a full list of prohibited and restricted uses — including AI-specific misuse categories such as biometric surveillance, synthetic media impersonation, and unsupervised high-impact automated decisions — see our Acceptable Use Policy at pureframe.ai/legal/aup, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If there's a conflict between this Section and the Acceptable Use Policy, the more restrictive term governs.
5. Automated content-safety scanning
To enforce these Terms and comply with law, content processed through Pureframe AI — including frames, audio, and transcripts generated during indexing — may be automatically scanned by content-safety systems, including hash-matching against known illegal material and machine-learning classifiers for prohibited content categories. Flagged content is reviewed by a person before enforcement action, except where the law requires otherwise. Scanning applies to all processing modes, including any mode in which Pureframe AI does not permanently store your media.
6. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe content processed through Pureframe AI infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@pureframe.ai including: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to locate it; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receiving a valid notice, we may remove or disable access to the identified material and notify the account owner. The account owner may submit a counter-notice containing their contact information, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury of good-faith belief that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and consent to the jurisdiction described in Section 21. If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a court action within the statutory window.
We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

7. Other content reports and takedowns
If you believe content processed through Pureframe AI violates your non-copyright rights or these Terms, contact us at support@pureframe.ai with enough information for us to understand and investigate the request.
We may request additional information before taking action. Where appropriate, we may remove or disable access to content, notify the account owner, preserve relevant records, or take other reasonable steps.
Submitting a false, misleading, or abusive report may result in denial of the request or other action where permitted by law.
8. AI and search results
Pureframe AI may return search results, labels, transcripts, summaries, or other machine-generated outputs. These outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed before being used for important decisions.
You are responsible for how you use outputs generated through the service.
9. High-risk and restricted uses
Pureframe AI is not designed, intended, or authorized for use in situations where failure or inaccuracy of the service could lead to death, personal injury, or severe property, environmental, or financial harm — including medical diagnosis or treatment decisions, life-support or life-sustaining systems, aviation or mass-transit safety systems, nuclear facility operation, critical infrastructure control, or weapons targeting.
You may not use Pureframe AI as the sole basis for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals — such as employment, credit, housing, insurance, or benefits eligibility decisions, or law enforcement action — without meaningful, qualified human review of the output before the decision is made.
If you use Pureframe AI in any high-risk or consequential context described in this Section, you do so at your own risk and are solely responsible for independent verification, human oversight, and compliance with any laws or professional standards that apply, including AI-specific regulation such as the EU AI Act where applicable. This Section does not expand any license or right granted elsewhere in these Terms, and use in violation of this Section is a material breach.
10. Fees, credits, and billing
Pureframe AI uses pay-as-you-go credits. Current rates for indexing, search, and other operations are published on our pricing page, and the rates in effect at the time of use apply.
Credits. Purchased credits are added to your account balance and consumed as you use the service. Credits are not currency, are non-transferable, and have no cash value except as described under Refunds below.
Storage. Stored media accrues a storage fee daily, based on the amount stored and the rate published on our pricing page, and is deducted from your credit balance. You can stop storage fees for any content by deleting it.
Auto top-up. If you enable auto top-up, we will automatically charge your payment method to replenish your credit balance according to the threshold and amount you configure. You can disable auto top-up at any time in billing settings.
Taxes. Fees are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for applicable taxes, which we may collect where required.
Refunds. Unused purchased credits may be refunded upon request within 14 days of purchase, less any non-recoverable payment-processing costs. Credits already consumed by usage, including accrued storage fees, are non-refundable. Promotional or granted credits are non-refundable.
Changes. Pricing, rates, limits, and plan availability may change over time. Material pricing changes will be posted on the pricing page before they take effect.
11. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We aim to provide a reliable product, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Features may be added, changed, or removed as the product evolves.
12. Privacy, analytics, and advertising
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information, including through analytics, cookies, pixels, advertising technologies, and similar tools.
We may use security, fraud-prevention, bot-prevention, and abuse-prevention tools, including Cloudflare Turnstile, to protect signups, logins, forms, uploads, APIs, and other workflows. You may not attempt to bypass, disable, interfere with, or misrepresent information to those checks.
If you use Pureframe AI on behalf of an organization, you are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any consents required for the data you submit to the service or collect from your own users.
13. Termination
You may stop using Pureframe AI at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service, or use the service unlawfully.
After termination, we may delete or retain data as described in our Privacy Policy and applicable service settings.
14. Disclaimers
Pureframe AI is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pureframe AI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pureframe AI's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Pureframe AI in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100.
Neither party will be liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond that party's reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disaster, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, internet or utility or cloud-provider outages, or governmental action.
16. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Pureframe AI against third-party claims arising from your content, your use of the service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law, including reasonable attorneys' fees. This obligation applies only to business and organizational use and does not limit rights consumers hold under applicable law.
17. Confidentiality
In connection with your use of Pureframe AI, either party may receive non-public business, technical, or product information from the other ("Confidential Information"). Your content and API credentials are your Confidential Information; our non-public pricing, product roadmap, and security information are Pureframe AI's Confidential Information.
Each party will use the other's Confidential Information only as needed to perform under these Terms, protect it with at least the same degree of care it uses for its own similarly sensitive information (and no less than reasonable care), and not disclose it to third parties except to employees, contractors, and service providers with a need to know who are bound by confidentiality obligations at least as protective as this Section.
Confidential Information does not include information that is or becomes publicly available through no fault of the receiving party, was already known to the receiving party without confidentiality restrictions, is independently developed without use of the other party's Confidential Information, or must be disclosed by law — provided the disclosing party gives reasonable notice where legally permitted.
18. Feedback
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Pureframe AI, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback into our products and services without any obligation or compensation to you. You are not required to provide feedback.
19. Export controls and sanctions compliance
You may not access or use Pureframe AI in violation of U.S. export control or economic sanctions laws, or equivalent laws in other jurisdictions that apply to your use. You represent that you are not located in, organized under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government denied-party, restricted-party, or sanctioned-entity list, including lists maintained by the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). You may not use Pureframe AI to process content for, or otherwise make the service available to, any party or use prohibited under applicable trade control or sanctions laws.
20. Third-party services and links
Pureframe AI may link to, integrate with, or rely on third-party services — such as payment processors, cloud infrastructure, or authentication providers — to operate. We don't control those third-party services and aren't responsible for their content, availability, security, or practices. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that provider's own terms and policies.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Pureframe AI contracting entity, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Except for disputes that qualify for small-claims court, actions to enforce intellectual property rights, or requests for injunctive relief to prevent unauthorized access to or misuse of the service, you and Pureframe AI agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service through binding, individual arbitration administered by the arbitration body applicable to the Pureframe AI contracting entity.
You and Pureframe AI each waive the right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative action, or to consolidate claims with those of other users, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Where arbitration does not apply, or a party opts out where the arbitration provider's rules permit it, disputes will be resolved in the courts applicable to the Pureframe AI contracting entity, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction and venue.
22. Updates to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as posting an updated version on this page.
